Anyone in the same boat?
Hi peeps, 3 days ago (Tuesday) my interview at the US embassy has been scheduled and I couldn’t be any happier 🤗. However, I’ve come across a very terrifying issue. I tried booking an appointment for the medical exam, since the interview is scheduled for May, but according to their website no appointments are available until June. Has anyone ever experienced this?? I’m really scared that if I can’t get an appointment within the next two weeks I’ll have to reschedule the interview. I can’t and don’t want to wait any longer. I’ve waited years for this day:( and there’s holidays here rn, so I can’t reach out to any doctors until next Tuesday. If anyone knows what to do please get back to me!!! Thank you.

No Germany. I can’t reach out to them until next Tuesday because they’re offices are closed due to the Easter holidays.

The US embassy’s website says medical exams must be done before the interview. If I don’t my visa may be denied. Even if I go and they leave my case pending until I get the exam done I’ll have to wait until summer to move to the us:(

i imagine the clinic can schedule you in for the medical if you already have an appointment date for the visa interview. i hope all goes well!

@aimee don’t stress. you may try the following 1. book the appointment for the first available date. 2. try going to the clinic after the Easter holiday with your interview letter and tell them of your appointment. they may allow you and if they don’t fine but plead your case as best you can 3. email the embassy and ask that your interview be postponed till after your medical date and send medical appointment letter as evidence 4. if no response go to your interview with the appointment letter for medical and explain at your interview. usually if all other docs and evidences are fine they will simply tell you to drop off the medical and your passport when you get it for your visa to be issued at least that’s what they do for missing docs in other embassies hope this helps a little

thank you @james for your thoughtful response. I ended up booking the first available appointment and next week I’ll call them and basically plead them to give me an appointment before the interview lol. I was initially freaked out and hopeless but I’ll keep my hopes high. Thank you for everyone’s input ♡ much of luck to everybody else waiting and going through this!
