Anyone in a similar situation?
I applied for U.S. citizenship in January 2026, and my wife is on F-1 OPT expiring in August. Her employer is not E-Verify, and we recently had a baby. Looking for advise.

Waiting Cat17m
You may want to consult an immigration attorney immediately. If you are already a permanent resident and have not yet filed an I-130 for your wife, it may be worth exploring that option as soon as possible rather than waiting for your citizenship case to be completed.
Keep in mind that an I-130 alone does not maintain F-1 status or extend OPT work authorization, so her expiring OPT and the E-Verify issue may require separate planning. The best strategy depends on when you married, whether any petitions have already been filed, and whether she may qualify for STEM OPT or another immigration pathway.
Given the August deadline, I would not wait for the N-400 decision before getting legal advice.
