California service center is very slow in processing. i am not sure why

Even I applied L2 ead for first time in sep month 2021.how can we follow up this ead approval.some r telling after March 10th no need of ead u can work directly is it true?if anyone knows let us know.i m on leave till april.i should resign if i don't get this ead approved.
