any applicants with minor criminal records?
hello everyone my husband’s 130 got approved and it’s time for DS230 which requires police records. My husband who lives abroad has a few minor convictions on his records which are regarding carrying unlicensed weapons. I am terrified about submitting the police record. anyone has previous experience about how badly it could affect his case?

are you a us citizen or greencard holder?
Donna . esJun 24, 2021
i am a green card holder but we have two american kids

what I know is if you were a us citizen. they would forgive minor convictions, overstay, working without authorization etc. on humanitarian ground. you just have to be honest about it. I’m jot hundred percent sure if it’s the same policy for greencard holders

this really is lawyer territory. I don't think anyone of us can give you a clear answer as different convictions are judged differently.
