i am lawful legal permanent resident since sept 2020 I applied I 130 for my spouse who is India in January 2022 been to India and stayed for four months and returned. didn’t want to stay six months which is max you can stay outside usa. i had a question is the yesr counter from month I received the Green card or is it the calendar year. i want to know from which date they determine your stay outside usa

oh nice congratulations ,during pandemic i stayed there for 6.5 months nd i m going to apply naturalization next year ..this is a big relief to me 🙏🏻

congratulations... I file same under 5 years rule... but my i751 is still pending.... I file n400 on Feb 14 2022... just a day after you... waiting for interview notice...

@floridaeB3 GC At the of applying N400 form their one section will be their we it ask to mention the travel history of last 5 years ( I.e.. means from the date of filling form N400) . your stay should be less than 6 months or 180 days . so staying 4 month is not a problem.It is perfectly alright don’t worry. In some case if u stay more than 6 months at a time than always try to keep your strong ties to USA like your job ,taxes , rental deed and insurance etc . It means you should never abandoned this country always keep this country as your abode country.I hope u understood my point.

@Abc Thank u. I don’t know much about I751 as I got permanent green card for 10 years as I was in India when I came year it took more than 2 years.But after filling N400 I waited for some time and filed FOIA on uscis than in next 2 days I got appointment notification.so I will suggest you to fill FOIA .

@fnu Inu yes I'm thinking so... I filed my i751 in February 2019.... tomorrow going to complete 1200days... thats too much
