After my Boston asylum interview in June, the officer kept my original passport and documents. Is this normal?
Hello everyone, I have a question about my recent interview. I had my asylum interview at the Boston Asylum Office in June 2025. At the end, the officer kept my original passport and all my original papers.  Is this a common practice? Any information you can

no it’s no my knowledge. I had a asylum interview but my documents were returned to me. the only keep the copies. maybe things ar different now. mine was 2024 . good luck

mine was returned at the end ! But you probably won't recover them since if the asylum is approved you will no longer use it for travel as a refugee. I could already see some around here trying to get the passports back for months but without success.
