Hello everyone.
I need your opinion/advice here. today was my adjustment of status interview and my wife and I went there only for the front desk officer to tell us that there is no record of interview. long story short after waiting for a while, the supervisor came out with a G-56 form.. the form has specific instructions such as the location of the interview, the date, hour, the name of the officer to Ask for and most importantly the reason. for the reason there is no mention of interview but the notice says: TO COMPLETE THE PROCESSING OF YOUR APPLICATION. My application has been pending for about 2.5 years and RFE already sent.
Any idea what that could be?.

Hard to tell without looking at your interview letter.

the initial interview letter mentioned initial interview but the G56 just mentioned the location, date, name of the interviewer and the reason which is to complete the process of your application. The letter also asked me to bring The G56 letter, a government ID and green card ( which I don’t have yet)
