Advance Parole Question
hello guys! my PD is June 06, 2024. It’s only been 7 Months since that day, I got my EAD already after 37 days and just waiting for my AOS Decision. Last month, the estimated time was 5months and turned to 16 months, I know it’s not accurate and could be sooner than that, just want to ask if it’s still fine to apply for AP since I didn’t apply for that concurrently. I want to try my luck cause idk how much more it will take for the decision to be made, I really want to see my family nextyear, I’ve been so homesicked already. I am going home with my husband also.
Has anybody experienced applying AP after concurrently filing?

This likely will change with Trump’s administration.

You can always apply for AP as long as you have an AOS application pending. I would say to file for it even if you don’t end up using it!! I don’t get why y’all don’t file for all the things you qualify for together when you can.

@annie e Hi, your AOS could be approved before the 131. My 131 took over 250 days to approve and my 485 was day 289 I think 💭. Has your application been transferred to a field office yet? I would find this out first.

@Kingsley B my FO is NBC and last time i checked It wasn’t transferred YET. I actually don’t know how that works since NBC is electronic
Kingsley BDec 31, 2024
@annie e Your FO cannot be NBC. NBC is only a processing center. They can approve the 765 and the 131. Your applications go there and people create the information package that is sent to the FO. The transfer can be electronic or the FO can request the actual file.
The only way to find out if your application has been transferred is by asking USCIS. You cannot call NBC but you can call the 1-800 number and an officer can tell you.
From what I have learned, your application has been transferred which is why the date is October on your medical.
Go to this site and look up your office. This will give you an idea of the back log. Mine was approved right away but most people do not get approved as fast. It depends on your file and office.

@Kingsley B I contacted them and case hasn’t been transferred yet and processing normally. I sent my medical all together concurrently too. Also, where did you see that it was transferred and my medical is October?
