I traveled back with my AP once and it was super simple. they didn’t ask me a single question. I was nervous too but it was really nothing. the piece of paper shows that you have passed background checks etc so they’re not a lot of risk. @Lissett Jimenez

but honestly if you have doubts you better stay and get all your stuff ready they can be dramatic

don’t worry I traveled twice with my AP and didn’t had a single problem.they will jist take ypu to sec inspection just to stamp your passport.no questions asked

that is the whole point to issue AP so you can travel while your application is under process.i am traveling again in January

unless you don’t have an emergency I would advise against traveling until everything is approved. because I know someone who did that last year and they didn’t let her back in. but sometimes you can can be one of the lucky ones.

i travel last month to my country and stay there 40 days on my advance payrole when i came here they didn’t ask me any thing just simple they take another inspection room i just sit on chair after five minutes they call my name and then they put parole stamp on my passport and payrole document after i m good to go

nothing to secard just go your home enjoy your vacation and came back safely

I use my emergency and they didn’t ask me anything just put me in the room stamp my thing no queasy ask

@Lissett Jimenez Hi, I recently got mine. I am a bit worried 😟 about it. on the bottom right side there is a spot that says there is a stamp but there is no stamp there. Is yours the same? it is next to where the photo is, across from it. I traveled with my emergency one in June for my father and was fine coming back. I now have the regular one. The problem with the 131 is if you have ever been in the country unlawfully or had overstays (over stays do not matter during the time you have been married). The officers when coming back have the final say and it does not matter that you have a 131 if they want to deny you entry for legitimate reasons of inadmissability. The other problem can be, and this is not common, if your green card gets denied while you are out of the country, you will not be let back in (likely) as they can cancel the visa type you entered with. So if you have no worries of in admissibility and you do not feel there are reasons your green card will be denied, then you are fine to use it and will be let back in the US.

@Kingsley B My document next to the photo has the painting but I don't see any stamp. So I don't know, I'm a little worried. The truth is I would like to go and be with my family at Christmas, this is frustrating.

@Lissett Jimenez to be on the safe side, I would just wait. if you already spend a few years away without them one more year won’t hurt. I am not leaving the country until I get that final i485 approval as much as I miss my family. God got us we will be approved soon with no hassle

I wouldn't recommend. Even though I did travel with AP before. Best to wait til your GC gets approved. Things can happen in your case while traveling abroad and that will jeopardize your ability to come back in the country especially if your case gets denied!
