Administrative Processing IR2
My 15yo son has his interview on February 5 and they returned his passport and put his case under 221g due to a missing document. We mailed 2 days after that document and his passport again since they requested that on the 221g form. We received an email on February 23 saying they malied a document related to his visa application to the addresses selected for us.
We went to the NVC website to check the status and it keeps showing as “REFUSE”. Has anyone else had this issue? can they issue your visa and still not be update into the system?
I’m so confused.

@Patricio Maggio lo que pasa es que estas en proceso administrativo eso toma desde una semana hasta 180 dias, esperemos en Dios que se resuelva antes de que se vensan los analisis medicos porque sino tendras que volver a hacerlos. suerte.

my took 21 days after NVC got all needed documents and fees !

@yousuff It took me 21 days to get scheduled for the interview. it was surprisingly fast after NVC approved all documents and fees. @YOHAN ARGENIS ACEVEDO CUELLO Guayaquil-Ecuador

for me it keeps saying refused (same category) like you because they
need more information about 8 years old girl, then they asked for passport by aramix then it turns to issue

the NVC keeps showing refusal even when you get okay from the embassy. however, they would update it. there is no problem.

my case after interview officer give me a green slip 221g administrative processing and keep my passport also now already 20 days but not received any update from them

you can not do anything but wait. green paper means you are good to have the visa. just wait for your passport in hand.
