Adice/needed
Good day. USCIS sent me a notice to appear for an interview on the 3rd. The first interview was for my I-360/I-485. My spouse and I were not able to attend that interview. The second interview was scheduled around the time I had started my VAWA application because of the abuse I experienced. My lawyer sent USCIS a letter explaining the situation, and they cancelled the interview. Now, USCIS has sent me another notice to appear for my I-485 interview. My husband and I are no longer together, although we are not legally divorced yet. At this point, I have nothing to do with him or the marriage. My lawyer advised me that it would be better for me to attend the interview and said she will accompany me. However, I’ve been seeing reports about ICE arresting people at USCIS offices, and honestly, I’m worried and unsure about what to do. What do you guys think? Has anyone been in a similar situation, especially with a VAWA case? Should I attend the interview with my lawyer?

you must attend your interview. A no show will put you into removal. The good thing is that you have a legal representation, pray & have faith going in.

Definitely go to the interview and ask the officer to transfer the underlying basis of your marriage-based I-485 to your pending VAWA I-360. @Daniel Joseph
