well usually after you send in your documents they should send you receipts- then they will schedule you for a biometric or they will send a request for evidence if they need anything that you didn’t provide- then after that they will either issue you a working permit if you applied for one and approve the ability to travel- then they will schedule you for a meeting and the decision will be made. but these things take time and with COVID things are slower. it could be months and months of waiting. all you can do is wait but they should have sent you receipts and at least have you do a biometric. you can also call them to ask what’s happening with your case.

I only got one receipt the first one and after that I was checking online n my case changed to your case being actively reviewed by uscis , but never receive any notices by mail
