Abroad more than 1 yr due to covid

Hi, I'm in the U.S. & a permanent resident (through my wife) for more than 3 yrs but I was overseas for more than 1yr because of Covid-19. Does anyone know if that's considered an exception or does my 3 yrs reset? #covid #abroad #present #continuous
