Please check with your attorney first, and only proceed if they clearly confirm that it is safe. If there is no real emergency, I would avoid traveling in the current situation. At the end of the day, if something goes wrong, you are the one who will have to deal with the consequences. Don’t rely blindly on a lawyer’s advice 💯. Be extremely cautious and understand all the risks before making a decision.

you already have green card, why do you fear?

Jesus, guys. if you have a green card and no criminal record there is no risk! you are permanent resident!!! safe trip
patrick disoza Aug 20, 2026
@waiting_since Jan_2020 but they said you already have an approved VAWA green card (Lawful Permanent Resident status), a past visa overstay inside the U.S. is forgiven, and you can travel freely. However, if your VAWA case is still pending and you only have an application, leaving the U.S. and returning through an airport can trigger severe re-entry bars or lead to your application being treated as abandoned.

You are a permanent resident . I don't see why you should be concern. However you know better , we can't know . If everything is ok with your past then just live your life travel and relax
