hey family, after long wait finally a light came through the dark tunnel.. my I-130 got approved today and I believe it’s happened after I requested a case assistance from the DHS ombudsman office.. in this post I’ll talk about my experience with them .. I requested a case assistance through this website www.dhs.gov/case-assistance i filled the 7001 application and I uploaded the supporting documents ( my I-130 receipt notice, I-485 receipt notice, all emails from uscis response to my service requests, all Emma chat screenshots, phone logs screenshot for uscis calls , screenshots to the online account containing the last update on my case , my consent ( you need to print only page 6 sign it and upload it ) and my husband consent only print page 6 and sign it then upload it . same day I received the confirmation email form them .. it took them 3 weeks to review the case assistance request and then I received their email which said that they submit my inquiry to the uscis .. next day I received the last email on Friday which contained the uscis response and they stated that my I-130 is pending with NBC and the normal processing times is 60 months so they can’t take a decision regarding that and I have to wait .. today morning my husband was checking his online account and we saw the 2nd actively reviewed there we checked the documents tab and we found the approval notice there .. now I’m only waiting for my I-485 and I pray to have my approval this week I believe that the DHS ombudsman office inquiry helped to got this issue solved today.. I encourage all of you to try and hopefully you will get a good response from them

I will do it… feb2021 I-485 is not moving..,,,, i just ask live agent to expedite my case because my work permit is expiring and i don’t want to lose my job.

@Long Journey out of experience if you don’t have approved I-130 uscis will not consider your expedite request.. ombudsman and White House will encourage uscis to look into your case have a faith about this but don’t take it for granted and hopefully you will get the approval very soon

@roro April 2022 congratulations 👍🏻we submitted an inquiry two weeks ago because we’re not getting anywhere with USCIS. August will be 2 years since we filed. I hope we get a positive response too.

The same thing happened to me for my 765 and 131 after waiting one year for both (and submitted multiple expedite requests). I completed the Ombudsman request, they sent the inquiry to USCIS and two days later, both applications were approved. The Ombudsman request really does help! congratulations, I’m so happy for you!
