A good country to meet
Does anyone know of a good and safe country couples can meet up with their fiance', spouse, or family ? Share any of your experiences and advice here please. The Philippines has been closed off to foreign tourists and my fiance' can't visit the U.S either. So what's a nice budget country we could meet ? I don't see our K1 Visa process having closure for many months from what I'm seeing with how long it's taking to process K1 Visa applications.

Been to Istanbul, Turkey 4 times with my fiance. Plane ticket is about 1k from east coast of us but its a relatively safe place and very scenic. Airbnb and food are inexpensive. Highly recommend Istanbul to anyone. Kindof like a mix between San Francisco and Italy. Nice people too

any Caribbean countries , Haiti, Jamaica , Bahamas, St Marteen. there’s soo many places to go which are affordable
JJ PJan 24, 2022
Yeah but my fiance' lives in the Philippines so there are only a limited number of countries she can travel to that are Visa free or have visa on arrival. I'll do some research. Thanks everyone for your input.

people be saying their home country, because they’re missing home😅
I don’t blame y’all.

go to Singapore or Dubai
Charles BJan 24, 2022
lol yeah not Singapore they are strict, keep an eye on Thailand, that may be a place to meet up if budget is a concern. that was my backup plan if my Philippine 9A visa didn’t get approved.
EDWARD VASQUEZJan 24, 2022
United States are open for travel, just apply for a Visa to enter.

It will take a Filipino citizen a year to get a interview appointment. they are backlogged up till Oct 2023 for tourists visa
EDWARD VASQUEZJan 24, 2022
I feel you, I'm in the same boat, my future wife is in Quezon City in the Philippines and we are 220 days in. I'm hearing Costa Rica is a very nice and safe place. it's cheaper for us to go, but the Philippines will be more.
JJ PJan 24, 2022
yeah I've been waiting for the Philippines to open up for 2 years now. maybe they will this year 🙏. my fiance' is from muntinlupa City. Metro Manila
EDWARD VASQUEZJan 24, 2022
I'll wait, your like right around the corner. Your 294 days, next month your probably be approved. You're so close. April 5th, damn that's my Birthday. I'll wait, they're on March right now.

I'm going to the Philippines JJ P, it's open
JJ PMar 13, 2022
me too Edward Vasquez. April 15 till May 12. Hopefully we can hear about our NOA2 before I go. It's so frustrating waiting for so long now! it's going to be a year wait coming April 5th since the USCIS received our paperwork and issued our NOA1.
EDWARD VASQUEZMar 13, 2022
I'm going April 3rd to April 18th and going to have a blast. Enjoy yourself and make the best of it. Give al your paperwork to your girl for jer interview and pictures too. Make your case stronger
JJ PMar 13, 2022
thanks for the reminder ED on the paperwork. instead of paying money to send it I can bring it to her in person now🙂.. Yeah it makes more sense !
EDWARD VASQUEZMar 13, 2022
save everything, my girl and I open a bank account in the Philippines and I send the money thur our account. Save everything and give your girlfriend all the paperwork. It will help in her interview big time. I'll be in Quezon City if you and your girlfriend ever want to meet up with me and my girlfriend
Suro NipaMar 13, 2022
That is a perfect idea.
