a few tips from an immigration legal assistant-2
(I’m not an attorney and have limited experience in the field, but here are some tips from filing my own applications and working at the firm. Hope this helps! :) 3. When filing for adjustment of status, you usually need two passport-size photos. Use a pencil to write your name, date of birth, and A-number (if you have one) on the back of each photo. Mistakes happen. USCIS could mix up your photo with someone else’s and send you a green card with the wrong information. While you wouldn’t have to pay for a replacement (since it would be USCIS’s fault), you would still need to go through the effort of filing Form I-90. Try to minimize the chance of USCIS making a mistake on your case by making their job easier, it could save you a long wait. —-more to come
