8 months after filing I-485: No Approval 😭
hey guys this month is 8 months since I filed my I485 and I haven’t heard anything yet, I saw a silent timestamp on 03/06 and Emma confirmed that my case was transferred from Los Angeles field office to Baltimore (local to me). it’s been 2 months since the transfer to local fo and nothing is happening. I chat Emma agent who still says my interview is waived but still no movement. I contacted Congressman to make an inquiry but USCIS says my case is processing within normal office processing time. meanwhile people I submitted my application before them all got approved.

Hi Dee, mine is similar, but my I-485 was submitted March 2025, stayed at NBC all the time, and my cases was transfered to Baltimore FO (non-local to me) last month. Let’s hope our cases will be processed our cases soon.

There is new FBI background check initiated on 27 April and all applications are paused for time being. don’t know how long it will take to recheck the background. I am also in same boat, case transferred to non local Long Island field office on 2 Feb 2026 after that no update. I am not sure about the interview also.

I am in same boat applied July 27th 2025; my case is moved to non local field office (imperial office CA) as of Oct 2025. congressional inquiry said my case is processing normal and I don’t need to ping them till April 2027. All mighty knows what’s going on.

Unfortunately, that kind of timeline is still pretty common for I-485 cases, even when others filed later and were approved sooner. A transfer to the local FO and interview waiver are positive signs, but they do not guarantee immediate approval. Silent updates and transfers often just mean the file is actively moving internally. As frustrating as it is, if USCIS still considers it within normal processing times, there is often limited leverage beyond continued follow-up and monitoring for further movement and updates. Any updates from anybody here. I seem to be in the same boat as you all Eb1a - Current all along. I-140 approved in May. Filed 485 in July 2025.. No interview. No rfe. Radio silence since biometrics end of July. Feels like if we have been forgotten. Found out it’s at el paso fo since mid april. Case is still being processed for close to a year
