60 days post interview- nothing
I was interviewed early nov in NJ.interview mostly went fine but the officer said she needs to review trip dates (I had 12 in 5 years) - although there has been no trip close to 180 days and total physical presence also above 1500 days (913 required)
its been 2 moths. JSN Shows no touch since interview date. status is still "interview was sceduled"
I did a congressional inquiry and they gave a boiler plate response that uscis has upto 120 days to make a decision or issue a notice. bizzare situation. anyone else in a similar boat?

Hi!✨
My interview was the 10/22/2025 ( Colorado state) (73 days ago, almost 3 months) and nothing happened yet.
Same as you, my interview went well, but the officer said he needs to review everything again, bc the internet that day was slow and he wasn’t able to check everything in that moment.
(Or at least that’s what he said)
A couple weeks ago the ban list came out and sadly my country is in that list. So everything is stop right now. anyone of those countries will not receive an approbation of any type (not work permit or asilum or green card)
So sadly in my case I have to wait for they to start the approbation again:(
I hope you recibe news soon! ✨🤞🏼🙏🏼🫶🏼

@val bal nope :( and its approaching 90 days post interview now. my json shows lastupdated on jan 13 but no event or new notice was generated. so dnt know what they are doing!
val balJan 28, 2026
oh no sorry to hear! I think they have to decide within 120 days

@val bal correct. well on day 121, an applicant can technically file under 8USC 1447b in a district court. automatically court gets jurisdiction and there is no concurrent jurisdiction. meaning once filed, uscis, if it decides to rfe, noid or even approve legally can not. they dont have any control on the case anymore. the judge decides himself or demands back to uscis with strict deadlines to act (usually 30 days).
also interesting to note that even if they decide to game the law by sending an rfe on day 115 or 119, the clock does not legally stop for them. legally the applicant can still file in court and even argue that last moment rfe was just procedural to stall the process

Interesting! Hope everything works out before then!! We had our combo interview yesterday with no immediate decision yet. JSON showed an update today at noon but nothing happened since so not sure if anything will happen. We waited almost a year after the initial 485 interview, so hoping it won't take too long again
