you are not alone in this and I’m loosing my mind on a daily due to this situation . I’m battling heavy depression, some days are good some aren’t. it just feels like forever with no certainty of when this will be over with getting a positive outcome. I just hope God grants me the peace of mind and patience to get to the finish line of this journey. it’s mentally exhausting and emotionally draining. I wonder how others are coping truly .

same m waiting since Jan 2022 last year received RFE still didn't receive any update

right now I just don’t know what to do anymore.mines December 2022 processing time is going up each month may god help us.

soy del 22 de abril del 2022, me pidieron evidencia el 8 de agosto del 2022, mi solicitud, mi caso de I485 fue transferido a una nueva oficina 16 de enero del 2025, y mi I360 fue aprobada el 22 de mayo 2026, espero en Dios ya con I485 cambie de status, espero que todas las que estén esperando reciban lindas respuesta, con la bendición de Dios.

I completely feel your pain. That being said, I wanted to share a little perspective on how the USCIS backlog actually works, because the blame really lies on administrative failure, not on other applicants VAWA covers all victims, Congress designed VAWA to protect men, women, and children equally. Abuse happens to anyone, and male self petitioners are legally held to the exact same strict standards of evidence as female petitioners. Congress specifically built VAWA so that victims don't need a legal entry to apply. They did this so abusive partners couldn't use deportation threats to control their victims. Every single petition goes through the same intense vetting process and background checks. The backlog isn't because one group is taking over the process. USCIS is dealing with massive systemic delays, extreme staffing shortages, and a huge nationwide buildup across all humanitarian cases. The system is simply failing to keep up with the number of cases being filled. I find it a little crazy you’re involving God in this conversation yet you’re still wishing bad things to happen to some people like being detained.

@Romeo riv hi hope you are doing well, Vawa stands for the " Violence of Women Act " glad if protects some legitimate abused men and children as well but not all the frauds that abused the petition and im sure there are a lot, Illegally means Illegally, and "needs" means in general to be detained because exactly came illegally not that I wish anyone to get detained! An open border policy is the real failure of any country in the world including the false hopes a certain agenda gives, encouraging people to cross , and this petition should NEVER be allowed to be used by aliens crossing illegally and you can have your opinion I have mine have a blessed night.

I most times scroll pass post like this but I think whoever wrote this should do us all a favor and delete this because you either needs help or you are part of the problem…this whole write up is unacceptable and uncalled for.you don’t get to decide or tell us who has or should be abused.
