Your wait time is not even two full months, and you’re asking about getting a GC? Check the processing times for NBC for GC. I’ve applied in Dec 2020 at aTSC, had only bio in November 2021. Received my 485j receipt in March this year. The 485j receipt means nothing. Prepare for a long wait.

tsc is different than nbc ...... NBC is way more faster than the...... did u applied i140 and i485 concurrently??? and did u file i140 as regular ( non premium) ????

It is true NBC has been very quick lately. so far your case looks good. It is not true that they don t send it to FO, they have to send your case but electronically. If NBC approved (without interview), then the FO has to approve as well, which will then send back to NBC. I personally file mid September, Bio mid October and i485j end of October. My case just move to FO, after that it is usually very quick!! Good luck and keep us posted !!

485j receipt date Nov 2. Case is at field office. 485j was requested along with medicals rfe. Medical received by FO on same date, Nov 2nd. No updates since then. EB1-3.

I filed concurrently. Applied for premium later. NBC is a little faster than TSC, but don’t get too exited. You still have months to wait, you’re just at the start of the journey. I’m sorry but that’s just the truth. Don’t expect anything any time soon. The processing times will give you a rough estimate. The decision if the file goe to FO is on the officer. If they decide to tranfer it, they will (for interview purposes). It has nothing to do with the processing center.

what i have observed on more than 10 cases if ur case is si.ple without rfe NBC approve ur 485 with in 3 to 5 weeks of 485j

No, it would not. It doesn’t depend on that. The processing center depends on your location, from which state are you applying at, sometimes they just send it random from a lockbox facility. That’s 10 cases. There are hundreds of cases that are maybe different. You cannot base your argument on the 10 cases, when there are hundreds, maybe thousands of other cases.

I think you think I am taking this too personally and that I am frustrated when I am not. No reason to be, we’re in the same boat. No pattern as to why some cases go to NBC and why some go to TSC. Maybe it’s because of the state, maybe something else. Definitely never hear of anyone’s case going to a particular center because they just applied for PP. I’m just pointing out that your reasoning based in 10 cases is flawed, because there are dozens of cases that are remarkably different. The processing times depend on many factors: processing center, officer, case type, etc. I see it’s hopeless to argue with you, believe in what you want. Rafay, my I-485 (EB) is in NBC as you. My I-485J receipt notice was in August 17 this year. I'm still waiting for my GC approval, and I filed my medical together with I-485, so there will be no RFE. However, regardless of RFE or interview or anything, all the cases should be sent to Field Office for final approval. NBC can't directly approve GC. Mine is still at NBC, so I don't expect my GC this year. I filed my I-485 in Feb 2021, and it can be super long. That's what I concluded so far based on my long wait.

That's why you cant find the USCIS processing time for NBC. There are processing times for only other service centers and field offices. NBC sends cases to FO for approval.

My case was filed on June 9th 2021, I got I-485J notice on September 25th, 2021 just spoke with EMMA she said case is with LA FO. I don't think NBC approved the case. They initially see the package and send to FO. My FO in NJ I don't know why they moved the case to LA Field Office.

@mz yes its true it should go to locL office but I have seen some cases they got their cases approved while it is in NBC which doesn't make any sense. you are the second person I know who is telling their FO is somewhere else but their case has been fwrd to LA FO....... lol no idea what's going g on.....can u ask Emma why is it so ? and update us here .

Emma told that they can transfer to any FO depend upon the load. I heard LA office is getting many Eb cases transferred from NBC these days

what i have been observing and I can be totally wrong...... eb with out dependents are going much faster with with dependents

mine is Raleigh NC and it is as slow as it can be lol
