485 case moved to local field office - now what?
USCIS case status isn’t updated but upon chatting via Emma, I came to know that my case was moved from NBC to my local Field Office around 2 months ago! I think that’s a good sign but I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t had this chat!
Based on this movement, my case falls outside the regular processing window (against my local field office), and I have raised a service request.
Does anyone know what else I could do here (other than waiting)?

@Vips Sin if it is your local field office (in your city), it may indicate that you will have interview. if it is non local field office, you will likely be approved soon. do you have dependend and are you married for less than 2 years ?

if it’s local filed office then might be called for interview. if it’s not local then most likely interview will be waived.

A bit of a context:
I have two 485 cases in parallel:
i) via Employment started by my husband's employer, where I was a secondary/dependent. He got his GC in 2022 but mine was never adjudicated - so that one is simply in progress/as-is since then. My PD is Mar 2013 (India, EB2 and I don't recall anymore if we ever switched the lanes between EB2 and EB3 at one point).
ii) Other 130/485 is under the Family Based, where my husband is the petitioner and I am the applicant. Was filed in June 2023.
Now, BOTH of my 485s have recently arrived around Dec 2024 at my local FO (including the 130 associated with the Family AOS).
Speaking with the USCIS agent, they confirmed that both those cases are still awaiting an assignment of an officer.
And out of the two, I was informed, my interview is Waived for the Family Based one.

@Vips Sin is hat do you mean they said they are awaiting an assignment of an officer ? for me they always say they actively viewing my case never said they are waiting. I don’t think that’s a correct information. you’ll never know what exactly happening

@Avg Student , yes, that’s what they said on call. But you’re right, it’s a black box, no one knows for sure what it means or what the actual status is.
