hi I’m in the similar boat. PD MAY 2022, RD feb 2023, biometrics March 2023 and then no movements since. i applied EAD renewal feb 2025, got scheduled for biometric again on 3/19 but they misspelled my name so they only took my picture that day. Got my name fix right after, case status updates to Case being actively review for half a month now. the 2nd biometric appt latter came from NBC.

My case status is: case remains pending since 2022. When I applied to renew my EAD I had to do biometrics again too. It’s normal.

I got also biometric notice after renewal my EAD. it’s section 2 biometric, they just took my picture and signature, that’s it. JuSt check your EAD renewal notice which section it is.

@Alex brown Where can I see the section? I can only see where it says notice is from TSC. Also how long after ur biometrics before they sent you ur card?

@Lou A I hope all goes well for you. We keep waiting and hoping. My letter came from TSC and that’s same place my I-485 application has been pending. I’m just afraid I might have a lag in employment as my EAD expires next month and this new biometrics appointment is this month. I thought there was an automatic 180 days extension

@reski s Yes it was. my case filing was concurrent so everything was tied together. My first biometric was applied to my original EAD

when you renew your EAD they either use the previous biometric or request you to come for a new one. that's normal I believe

@EB3 Still Hopeful When I submitted my EAD renewal I received the same request. They just took my picture LOL. Nothing else.

this is totally normal, I had to drive 7 hour trip to a field office for biometric appointment for my ead renew, once I got there they didn't even took my fingerprints only took new pictures while I already submitted passport photos for the application, funny the way USCIS works.
