10 years GC or 2 years
I have been married for 1 year and 11 months, and our 2nd anniversary is coming up in June. My I-130 has been approved, but I received an RFE for medical with a deadline in July. One thing is we will be moving from Minnesota to Wisconsin on May 30. I already have my medical results, can I submit them in June to avoid further RFEs and get a 10-year green card instead of a 2-year one? I’m hoping this will be our last RFE.

@chrissy chu congrats! this is the first time when you are sending the medical?
Rocco FortéMay 16, 2024
@chrissy chu As long as you submit within the deadline then you will be fine. If you can delay a bit to get the 10 year greencard then hell yea!

I definitely would
A BMay 17, 2024
I think you will get a 10 year green card

@Rocco Forté yeah that’s what I’m thinking too. cause I can’t sleep overthinking about it and my gut is saying I’ll send it next month. Since the medical is two years to expire.

@chrissy chu That’s great. submit it, immediately your marriage hits two years
