1-485 NIW EB2 - Case Remains Pending
Hi All,
My I-140 NIW is approve for over a year now and my I-485 has been pending since August 2020. In August i received an RFE which i responded in September. Since them case was updated to case remains pending. Today a new message showed up when i was checking the case:
Case Remains Pending
We are temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigrant visa number is not immediately available to you. Once an immigrant visa number becomes immediately available to you, we will resume processing of your application.
Anybody in the same situation? does that mean case is "approved" and is just a matter of wait a Visa to be available?

it means Brazil isn’t current at the moment. they will recommence once it is, so not approved just paused

I've seen many cases approved shortly after receiving that update. My guess is that the officer processing your case just requested your visa number for your GC to be approved. I bet you'll be hearing good news soon.

I think Brazil is current for EB2 NIW but USCIS hit the quota for all employment green cards on Sept 6th - they got a new quota on Oct 1st - so fingers crossed you hear good news soon. I am in a similar position.
