I-485 Interview: How much notice did you get between the scheduling update and the interview date?
hello,
I have approved VAWA in 2024 then submitted my 485 in 2025. recently my cases are moving between NBC and VSC.
if you had interview before, I am wondering how much time did you typically have between receiving the interview notice and the actual interview day? Trying to figure out how many weeks of prep time USCIS usually gives so I can have my materials ready to go.

LA FIELD OFFICE- no update
Hi everyone, is anyone else with a PD of 11/21 whose case was transferred to the LA Field Office? My case was transferred there 40 days ago, even though LA is not my local field office. I haven’t had an interview yet, and I’m expecting a medical RFE. My EAD, AP, and I-485J are already approved, but there hasn’t been any movement on my I-485.
I’m thinking about submitting a service request because I’ve heard it can sometimes help. Do you think that’s a good idea, or should I wait since it takes about a month to get a response and I might receive the medical RFE by then? Visa Bulletin Sepetember Prediction
Hello,
My previous thesis/prediction still stand strong. I stated that we should see another 30 to 45 days movement in my previous post. Please go through it if you have any doubts.
Sepetember will definitely have further movement in Eb3 OW. Since USCIS has been increasing it by atleast 30 days in visa bulletin, we should see it again in September bulletin. So my prediction is that it should reach May 1st 2022 by very least.
USCIS can be cautious and not increase the PD but the probability in my opinion for that being the case is very low. Reasoning is below.
USCIS this year has not been able to utilize EB3 OW visas which will let us have these end of year movement. Last year around this time they were near exhaustion and we still haven’t seen any notification regarding exhaustion this year.
IOE cases from February 2022 have seen approvals. Since March 2022 will be current next month, we will see more approvals. Again IOE cases are being worked on priority compared to paper filing but there should be a dramatic rise in approval in September for paper based cases too.
Again this is my personal opinion. I cannot see future so please take this as a grain of salt. If you disagree then please let me know.

Hi everyone. I hope some of the experts can chime in here. so I guess after the 3rd confirmation that our case is at Seattle FO (non local), interview being waived and API still shows NBC under documents tab, I guess it is Seattle then. we had 2 silent updates to date. We submitted all required documentation. But I will be honest to say, it feels like only EB3 has action. You hardly ever see EB3 other ROW getting approved or is it just that it doesn’t get reported on the success rate? Does anyone know what the latest statistics are on how many visa numbers are left before the end of this fiscal year? PD 9/1/2021. waiting forever. RD 12/8/2025. electronic filed

I applied at the beginning of January and completed biometrics during the last week of January, but I’m still waiting for an interview notice. I’ve seen some February applicants already getting interviews.
