Case Processing
married last name on medical records for proof submitting for I-751
Hi, I am submitting my I-751. I was going to include Walmart print out for my asthma meds that show my address and paperwork from a clinic where I had an exray for my foot (so nothing personal). My doctor has my last name as my husbands and so does Walmart and health insurance. Everything else that is not medical has my legal last name. Not sure if USCIS would have an issue with this? Trying to submit everything that I can.
quien mas esta esperando ya llevo casi 6 meses, who's more still waiting?
I'm really stressful thinking and seeing many people is not receiving the approval of their application

Decision mailed
Hello everyone!
My interview was on February 12, 2025, and on October 3, 2026 they have finally sent a decision.
I have a question for you all. The system says my decision was mailed to me, but I haven’t received it yet. However, my lawyer told me that they sent my case to the immigration court for a master calendar hearing in November.
It is really stressful for me, especially after waiting for 11 years. Has anyone else experienced the same issue? If so, could you please share your experience? What should I expect next?

long post!!
I’m posting this to encourage anyone out there who is still dealing with their immigration paperwork: PLEASE DON’T GIVE UP.I know it’s easy to tell someone not to give up when you’re not in their position, but I truly understand how difficult this journey can be because I’ve been going through mine since 2019.
I went through VAWA, was initially denied, appealed the decision, and eventually got approved. Then came the long I-485 wait. There were so many moments when I felt exhausted, discouraged, and wondered when my turn would finally come.
I eventually reached out to my congressman for help. They submitted an inquiry on my behalf on July 10, 2026, and on July 15, 2026, my case finally started moving. I continued waiting and praying until October 7, 2026.
I did attend my I-485 interview. The interview was very short and mainly consisted of basic security/background questions. After the interview, my case was continued for additional review, so the waiting continued.
Then, on October 6, I received a notification saying my interview was canceled and that a notice had been ordered. I immediately started crying and praying because I thought something else had gone wrong.
But God had already worked it out.
October 7, 2026 MY I-485 WAS APPROVED!
After everything I’ve been through, I can finally say that there really is light at the end of the tunnel.
I haven’t seen my parents in 10 years, so this approval means so much more to me than just receiving a green card. It represents freedom, hope, family, and finally being able to move forward.
My case was handled through the Atlanta Field Office.
To anyone still waiting, please keep your faith. I know this journey is NOT easy. There will be days when you feel tired, frustrated, and ready to give up. But please keep pushing, keep praying, and advocate for yourself. If your case qualifies, consider reaching out to your Congressional representative for assistance.
I’m praying for everyone still walking this journey.
Don’t give up. Keep pushing. Keep praying. Your story can change when you least expect it. There really is light at the end of the tunnel.
I751
Hi everyone, I filed my I-751 to USCIS, and my case status says Case Was Received and a Receipt Notice Was Sent on September 8, 2026.
But I still didn’t receive the receipt notice by mail, and I also don’t see a digital copy of the receipt notice in my USCIS account.
Is it normal, how long does this usually take?
Green card for almost 2 years now
Has anyone with permanent residency obtained through VAWA experienced something similar? Every time I enter the United States, I’m asked the usual immigration questions and then taken to a separate room. They don’t ask me any further questions there; they seem to just check my passport and green card. Afterward, they return my documents and tell me I’m free to go.
Does this happen to anyone else? Have you ever been told why you’re referred for this additional screening?
July 25 2023 - i485 Approvsl <mandamus pro se>
My case was approved last week after multiple contacts with uscis, senator and congressman inquiry. I picked myself up and went to file Mandamus “pro se” because I couldn’t afford to give a lawyer 4000-8000. I used Gemini and Claude and made sure I was very detailed. Not I’d advice you look at your. are well before go ahead to file yourself. But anyways my case was approved last Friday and someone from the DOJ also called me to congratulate me and apologize for the unnecessary delay. Goodluck to you guys. Be strong and Keep your heads up.
BA out!!!! See yall at the citizenship race!!!

Orlando FO - F2A I-130/I-485 interview completed, petitioner biometrics requested
Had our marriage-based I-130/I-485 interview at Orlando on Oct. 5. We were interviewed together. The officer focused mostly on my wife’s F-1/I-20 history and travel. There was an I-20 travel endorsement he initially couldn’t find, but we had the original with us; he reviewed it, copied the F-1 documents, and continued the interview.
He went through the I-485 questions, corrected one old visa-denial answer from when my wife was a minor, and had her sign the correction.
At the end he said everything looked fine from his end, but he could not move forward because USCIS did not have current/usable biometrics for me, the LPR I-130 petitioner. He said I should receive a letter for fingerprints and that afterward they would review the case again, subject to F2A visa availability.
Has anyone, especially at Orlando FO, had the petitioner sent for biometrics after the marriage interview?
How long did the biometrics notice take?
• How soon was the appointment?
• How long after fingerprints did I-130/I-485 get approved?
• Did the same officer finish the case?

what should be my next step
hello everyone,
I wanted to share my process and maybe you guys can tell me what to do.
I filed my VAWA petition (I-360) March 2022.
I received numerous prima facie throughout the years, USCIS requested evidence last Sept , in 2025. and since then I haven’t heard anything from them.
I’m over the limit of time , but when I call they can’t give me any updates .
I asked congress to contact USCIS on my behalf and they have , and the also haven’t received any news and is been over a month.
5 months ago I also filed for I-485 and I-765, they requested biometrics and that was it .
and now I’m just sitting waiting for some news .
is anything else I can do ?
Emma live agent
is it just me or does it seem like the chat to a live agent becomes almost impossible these days? they ask you how they can help and when you send them your questions they just answer you with a generic answer and cut off the conversation.
we have passed the normal processing time (80% mark) but still before the 93% mark as this one keeps on shifting each month. it was November 2026 and suddenly it is june 2027.
what else can we do to get them to look at our cases?
