My case status changed to active review this afternoon. Logged in to the USCIS website, and there it was! The approval notice was in the documents section.
Glory to be God because God knows how long I have waited for this day to come.
I don’t know if it helped but I had recently contacted my congressman for expediting my case.

EAD approval for c9 AOS (expedited)
I requested an expedite of my EAD on Monday following a job offer and ending of my post doc in august. I stated “severe financial loss” as the reason . no request for evidence and it was quickly approved. I’m surprised and relieved it was all so fast. hopefully that’s an indication that things are better/more efficient.
