SSN by EAD or IOS / Social por EAD o por IOS
I leave this information here in case it is useful to you, they approved my EAD and it arrived in my mailbox but the social security never arrived, I called SSA and they told me to wait 30 days and if it did not arrive by mail that I should go to offices to make a new application, I waited for the time and when I didn't arrive I had to go (with my respective documents) to request my social, when I arrived at the office at 8:30 am the line was SUPER long, to make a summary , I spent 6 hours waiting to be attended to, I did the process and I still have to wait 2 weeks for it to arrive by mail.
Additional information that was indicated in the SSA office, once the GC arrives, you must go to the office to update the social security information (the same number remains) but now the status as a permanent resident must be in place.
Tips: arrive early to guarantee getting a number to be served (the officer gives them, at least in the office I went to) mentally prepare to stand in a long line when you arrive, and if you can/want, bring something to sit on, water, snack, comfortable clothes and of course, their complete papers.

les dejo esta informacion por aca por si les sirve, aprobaron mi EAD y llego a mi buzon pero el social nunca llego, llame a SSA y me dijeron que esperara 30 dias y si no llegaba por correo que debia acudir a las oficinas para hacer una nueva solicitud, espere el tiempo y al no llegar tuve que acudir (con mis documentos respectivos) a solicitar mi social, al llegar a la oficina a las 8:30 am la fila era SUPER larga, para hacer un resumen, pase 6 horas esperando a ser atendida, hice el tramite y aun debo esperar 2 semanas a que llegue por correo.
Dato adicional que indicaron en la oficina SSA, una vez que llegue la GC se debe ir a la oficina para actualizar los datos del social (queda el mismo numero) pero ahora debe estar el estatus como residente permanente.
Consejos: lleguen temprano para que garanticen lograr un numero para ser atendidos (los entrega el oficial, por lo menos en la oficina a la que fui) preparense mentalmente para hacer una larga fila a la hora que lleguen, y si pueden/quieren lleven algo para sentarse, agua, merienda, ropa comoda y por supiesto, sus papeles completos.

after a long wait in h1B and employer sponsored eb3, I never thought this day would come. and coming from a finance background Eb1a seemed distant or even impossible. we gave eb1a a try and applied last July fo i140 followed by AOS in January this year.
today it said the golden words "new card is being produced".
I will be praying for all fellow group members who are still waiting for it. thank you all for your support

Update on I-485!!
Finally received Interview notice 2 months after submitting my medicals, no update online just a letter in the mail to my attorneys office and today status updated to “Fingerprints were taken” I have already got the same update last year in June. Idk why they have updated the same status again, may be a glitch??
Anyways guys please share your experiences with your I-485 interviews, What questions to expect? I am really nervous cause I wasn’t expecting an Interview tbh.
One more thing Idk why they asked me to attend the interview at a local FO where I used to live before, a year ago I moved to a different state and updated my address and confirmed the same with USCIS.

FO visit and requested documents
what does this mean ,? a FO visited the site talked to the employer on phone to confirm they have applied for the person and ask for some financial documents because said some discrepancy. said will send email but haven't received it yet been 4 days. so not sure what it means.
this is all after one and half month after interview.

my 485 status was showing for 3 years ( fingerprints has been applied to form 485 on July 26,2021) .Today status changed (July24,2024 fingerprints has been applied to 485) .
what does that mean , change the date from 7/26/2021 to 7/24/2024.
anyone knows what’s going on my 485 ? This stresss and anxiety are killing me .
