@Ayomide Henry I was DQ Oct, 2022 was scheduled Nov,2023 so I was supposed to have my interview on Monday but now has been rescheduled for 8 more weeks.

when is your priority date?

@Saho Baikhut it’s just tiring knowing you’re 4 days away from your interview and bam, you’re rescheduled again. just asking if anyone has experienced this before

@Tolulope Akinfolarin I haven’t been DQ yet. My documents just got accepted. I was sick for a while so I couldn’t follow up with my case and I didn’t upload the documents needed.

that’s too bad. my husband is also in Lagos and his interview is for 2/22/24. hopefully this doesn’t happen to us. have you completed your medical exam?

@Eva T yes, did that Dec 4th and everything was fine. has he done his medical exam too? and the police character form

@Tolulope Akinfolarin police character certificate was due at the NVC step. medical exam January 24. what visa category are you in. we’re IR-1/CR-1 which is priority and skips the priority dates in the visa bulletins. sorry that happened. are you on a spousal visa? curious about which question will be asked as I’ve heard nothing really is asked at embassy but entering USA is a 3-5 hour interrogation at the air

@Eva T spousal visa. it’s a general questions tho. he just have to be natural just as he’s been. you guys are married and not just a fraudulent marriage. he would be asked basic questions ranging from how y’all met and how often have you visited him in Lagos and the last time you visited him, how did he proposed and where. who was present at the wedding and how did it go.

@Tolulope Akinfolarin sorry. message cut off. when you go through passport control in USA everyone is taken into a private holding area, called interrogation room, and you are interviewed by homeland security 2-5 hours before you get permission to actually enter America. I hear it’s intense and very nerve wracking. I know two women who entered within the last few months on family visas and they said it was a lot. the visa doesn’t guarantee entry. only the immigration officer can grant permission to enter. and they go through absolutely all luggage bags pockets etc.
