“Your case is taking longer than usual to process”
UK citizen, still in Europe, applying for a green card to join my US spouse in America. Filed in April 2023 and had an estimated time to decision for many months that was continuing down normally. Then we got the above message on our myUSCIS page in October and we haven’t heard anything since. Not sure how much longer it’s going to take to move to the next step. anyone else get this worrying message?

yes, I'm UK citizen moving to US spouse as well! I got my receipt notice start of Feb last year. I've been told to ignore the estimated case time that shows on profile, as everyone ends up falling into that "your case is taking longer".
if you go to more on this app you can find average processing times. it's currently saying for an i130, 80% of cases in the last 6 months took 14 months.
Also, in the request more information section mine is saying proceeding normally and that I cant make a request about the circumstances until August this year.
So unfortunately it looks like the wait is just a lot longer than the estimated time suggested.

I believe when progress changes it might mean there actually reviewing the paperwork, that’s only my opinion, not sure really but I’m sticking to that assumption and mine was also taking longer than expected for months around 5-6 months and just recently started changing progress
