i was given a quote of $4500 from Jim Hacking! @super worrier can you share your lawyer details
E
Eda EdaAug 4, 2022
it would cost between $4500 to $6000 depending on the lawyer. if any complications happens or / and USCIS decides to fight back, the cost would go up
John DoeAug 4, 2022
Depends on the application you filed. Average about $5000 but can go up to $15 000. Simple cases average around $3000 to $4000

yaa I am 17 months into my application and was losing patience but the process time on the website says july 2023 which is like 28 months. USCIS can do a motion to dismiss if they feel that the case is under processing times

zaid khanAug 5, 2022
Priyanka Gautam processing time is only 18 months at Nebraska

hi zaid, since I applied from dallas FO! they mention they adjucate 80% cases by 20 months for I-485 and if we scroll to the bottom it mentions that I shouldn’t reach out to USCIS until july 2023 which is like 28 mos. so I am perplexed as to what would be an ideal time for me to file for lawsuit to have a confirmed win and have the money worth it! 😔

by sr you mean service request right so I am on month 17 rn so What do you suggest to wait couple of months more. I’ll talk to my lawyer regarding that as well

jim hacking says, any time after 1 year is ok to sue. we personally talked to his office and saving money to sue USCIS. our case is pending since nov 2020 and like you said cannot put inquiry before 2023

I was in touch with Jim Hacking lawyers and that’s what they reply- Hello Priyanka, I apologize but we will have to cancel our contract because the attorneys received news from USCIS that number of visas available may be exhausted before the end of the fiscal year. So the chance of success with a new lawsuit might be very low. Since we always want the best for people that reach to us, we have to cancel our contract. I hope you understand. Regards, juan

I guess there is no cap on marriage based GC but what the lawyer is hinting is getting a GC based on lawsuit might have low chances of winning!

Priyanka whays ur visa category
John DoeAug 6, 2022
There is a cap. Each year there are only a certain amount of visas and greencards issued for specific categories and also specific countries of applicants. It is not unlimited.
