I actually expedited my 601A in January 31 and about 10 days ago they got back to asking for evidence. submitted everything 7 days ago. we'll keep you guys posted with final word.

@Billy Bob Im in a Facebook group where a lot of people have been doing it amd it works. i filled mine and im still waiting for a response. I sent my form on Feb 3 2020. if they fail to respond your WOM they are going to court.

@Wilder M My application was sent January 23, 2020. This past January 31, through Emma I reached a live person and asked to expedite my 601A. The officer asked what reason and I said Wifes mental health. The officer then proceeded to get all my case information. The officer then disconnected the chat after my info was given. About 10 days ago (2 months later)they finally got back to me asking for evidence to expedite my case. Reasons to expedite a case must be for financial hardship, medical, or other. I sent three pieces of evidence to cover each area. 1) I sent about 7 credit card statement showing my debt. 2) Wife's psychological evaluations with about 5 or 6 sessions. Third evidence was also used for AP I-131. 3) A letter from my church requesting I'd be given a travel permit to allow me to join our traveling missionaries and that having my GC soon would allow me travel more for missionary purposes. I wrote a letter explaining all three of my reasons as to why I'm asking for expedite process. In my letter I was respectful and courteous, I even begged to please have my case approved as its mentally and financially harming my entire family. Hopefully one of the 3 pieces of evidence works. If not I also applied for AP so if I get approved soon I'll be doing AOS instead and drop 601A. I'll keep you guys posted.

I filled my 601a in sep 2020 on this app when I look at my timeline I see that 6 people cases was approved afew weeks ago it was 2 or 3 can not remember for sure but it’s good that somebody is getting approved

@Robert W my case said the same thing “case was transferred to another office… new office has jurisdiction “ then when I sent the mandamus it changed to Correspondence received and Uscis is reviewing it. I doubt that someone from nebraska to Potomac was approved. unless with a WOM

@Billy Bob you can go to facebook and search for 601a groups and people share their experiences and search or ask for writ of mandamus. youll see ton of it. Will all the respect i am not telling anyone to file a Writ of Mandamus. I filled it out and Im asking for others in the same situation. people google is free, go an type that. and see if it could work for you. I’ve seen people doing it and getting response. so I did it and now waiting and see if that really works. im still waiting for a response why should I tell them to jump in the same boat.

@Billy Bob I’m part of a Facebook group and 3 people filed for WoM and they all got approved! One of them is a girl from my country she already has her green card. i can say filling the WoM really works! and @Wilder M please keep us posted about your case. best of luck!!

d88 no idea where lawyer send it ! I just pay the money he file it on Jan 13

@D 88 yes on March 16th because they didn’t respond the letter we sent. so we filled it to the federal cout and the court is ordering them to give an answer in 60 days. they might ask the court additional time but they will have to obey the law.

Friday I’m calling lawyer to se what’s going on! when I file it I sign the papers that sayn that’s no guarantee will work 🤷🏼‍♂️! but when you desperate that’s how is

@T L calling your attorney and tell them to send you copies of what they do. i think they will send a warn letter if they dont respond in 30 days they will file a wom against them. thats when they have to respond. because the court is ordering them to give you a response.

please note that im not telling anyone to file a writ of mandamus. im in the same boat and stil waiting for a response. its up to you if you want to do that or not.

Guys even after you get approved there’s a long waiting game after that. Stay positive and your 601a will get approved. I got approved at 34 months December 2022 and I’m still waiting for a consulate interview. Let me mention that my lawyer and I sent the DS260 application wayyyy before the 601a was approved. Risky to do but we gained about 3-4 months of wait time by doing this. The NVC sends an email every 60 days to let you know you’re still waiting in line for an interview. I got one in March so next month (May) I’ll prob receive another one if I don’t get an appt before then. The approval with the NVC was also long and dragged out as they, too, requested more evidence. All I’m saying is be super patient, this whole process is unnecessarily long and expensive BUT we at least have the privilege to do it.

@singh parteek well I am not am attorney. if I give a positive response someone will say that im telling you to do it or giving you false hope. so please do your research and ask your attorney abou a writ of mandamus. i dont want to be rude but I dont want to see people pointing out to me

@T L from my experience. it took 3-4 days to prepare everything and send it to them. but ask them if will be just a letter or the order from the court already. ask for copies

@Nickon zabra we sent a letter to uscis and they didn’t respond in 30 days so we took action and filled a WOM. we sent the lawsuit to uscis director, one for the director of potomac, another for US attorney. i cant remember the 4th one.

@Billy Bob there is one person in a 601A facebook group that claims her waiver was approved in 9 months. She says that her waiver was received in July 2022 at the Nebraska service center and on 4/26/23 her waiver was approved. Several people asked her if it was 601 or 601A and she said her waiver was 601A. She said it was luck that she got approved so soon and she did not mention doing an expedite or a writ of mandamus. While I am happy for her that her waiver was approved, I am beyond frustrated that my husband’s waiver still has not been approved we have been waiting for 37 months and I have submitted 5 inquiries and have spoken to 2 different tier 2 agents that have not been helpful at all. I even tried expediting due to medical problems but it was denied. I guess USCIS is not looking at cases in order because it’s so unbelievable that they approved one in 9 months when there are hundreds if not thousands of us who have been waiting for over 3 years.

@Billy Bob Also, my husband and I are getting ready to file a writ of mandamus for our 601A because we have had enough. I’ll let you know how it goes. I’ll probably post about it here too just so other people know what to expect.

HELLO GUYS MY CASE WAS TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER OFFICE (2nd time). I was in Nebraska, then on Feb13th transferred to potomac, filled a Writ of Mandamus March 16th, today my case was transferred again, idk if to Nebraska again or the new office. hopefully its a good sign. ill keep you guys posted.

@Georgio hello i think its a good sign it looks like only people with writ of mandamus were transferred but we will see. its not a 4th time tho. when they notify you that your case was transferred is just letting you know about it. when the new office receives your paperwork they send you another notification that your case was transferred. so each transfer are 2 notifications.

@Robert W I think will be back to nebraska again. ive seen people from potomac being transferred to nebraska and they get approved really soon. so our case has to be the same and they transferred cases from nebraska to potomac just to gain time and stop people from contacting them but we are in a lawsuit so that makes it really strong. they have to obey the law.

@Wilder M you said you filed your mandamus on March 16th right? So how long did your attorney give USCIS to respond to your mandamus? I know my attorney said it’s usually 60 days and after those 60 days it goes to litigation which would be much more expensive and time consuming. I’m assuming if your attorney gave them 60 days to adjudicate your case that’s coming up next week right?

I was transferred on 04/28/23 to Nebraska. Letter says, “in order to speed up to processing.” I joined the group WOM on 2/16/23 when immpact litigation filed the amendment.
