what was your RFE about? The reason for denial will most probably revolve around that and your response. Really sorry to hear about your troubles. Stay strong and talk to your lawyer. There's always a way out.

@Hopefully hopeful , @m&m s , @kleo v thanks guys, the rfe was about good faith marriage, and divorce from Nigeria, my ex wife and I couldn't open joint account she was involved in some scam scandal way before we met and was blacklisted from opening account, I think all of that caused it, not sure but I will let you guys know when I get the later from uscis

@Dez 21 you can appeal the case when you receive the notice. Provide evidence that banks don’t accept her to open account. About the divorce back home, contact friends who went through it to show you the way.

@Dez 21, do you have Police Report of Abuse. aside from Joint Bank acct, there are other documents that you can use such as Lease Agreement, Joint Health Insurance, Joint Auto Insurance etc

@Dez 21 Beliebe me. I filed in Oct 2018. I did not had any joint documents except the photos. She had many fault on her side like she married me hiding her previous marriage without divorce and also without divorcing me married another guy. my case was denied lack of good faith marriage and abuse proof. Do not aappeal. if you are divorced from your abuser and if it is within 2 years if the divorce you can refile using a competent lawyer incorporating the requirements from the decision letter like what u did. My case got denied after 5 years and with a new lawyer once I refiled I got prima facie. Then within a mo th my ead and travel document got approved .i think uscis is finally gonna approve you and don’t worry. they will only deny you again unless you don’t file taxes and have some criminal records . so don’t panic and have faith. best of luck

@b s No dear! When we refile, they will know from the alien number that this was an old case and will consider as high priority and will decide within a year. I am also applying H1B parallel to it so that I could go for vacation and return back.

@tuma bi I received the mail, they denied my case because my stupid lawyer was just collecting my money and not doing anything, he was just submitting whatever I gave him without writing any cover letter or brief to accompany it, so my response to the rfe wasn't clear enough according to uscis so reason they denied my case. I got a new lawyer now that's working on filing an appeal to reopen the case

I submitted 2 lease, one was from 2017 - 2018 and the other one was from 2019 - 2020, so what happened was after the lease from 2018 expired we had a verbal agreement with my landlord that we will be moving out to a bigger apartment so we won't be signing a new lease so he agreed to do month to month with us, so from that 2018 we ended up staying another year there before we got a better apartment. so I didn't remember to explain that on my statement and the useless lawyer didn't even read anything I gave him, he was just collecting them and sending it to uscis with checking, so uscis said my statement is not consistent and some other little mistake here and there that my lawyer was supposed to catch and correct them. smh

@Dez 21 how much for the old lawyer and new lawyer. it’s good be with a experienced lawyer
