work/ travel permit was approved 13 days ago, interview for December was scheduled last week

nice hoping for the best for me. my pd is April 27 and EAD status changed to card us being produced yesterday

hoping for that. bcoz for me i485 is permanent resident filing for spouse not citizen so I am scared lil bit what if it will take more time I need to visit family in January

you file for travel permit too? that should come as the same time as EAD. Just careful our lawyer told us not to travel until you have your green card right now

same here I applied but lawyer suggested not to travel that’s the problem I have, because I have valid status for now I am on stem opt and with valid F1 status but I have no idea which status they will allow me to enter back because on my current status I can go and come back usa but as I have pending i485 I am scared to leave country

yeah sounds tricky without a travel permit.

yeah I will get travel permit because I already applied but I am confuse that what if they will not allow me to enter USA with parole and if they approve parole they will terminate my current F1 status or what ?

@m p… you can travel… the moment you got your new combo card… you are not longer in F1 status…. and if you travel… you enter with your travel card which then you’ll confirm your new status.

@m p.. what’s yours field office? I was under the stem opt and recently got my new combo cArd under greencard married based application. same situation as yours.

I believe you’ll need to let your employer know of change of work permit. I just got my combo card so I need to let my employer know of the new work permit. I don’t have an interview scheduled yet…. still waiting. my PD is March 25 and tou?

it is a gray area to be honest. my lawyer said that my F1 status was terminated… however I haven’t told my school yet. I do know the moment I used my new combo card…it would make sense that my f1 status will be terminated because the work permit is based on my greencard application. as of now, I haven’t told my employer or mh school since I don’t need to yet because I’m under my opt stem work permit. I hope this make sense!

yes same for me. the thing is I am scared if this changes will affect my job or not and one more thing I wanted to visit family in January and what if I am not allowed to return back
