Working STEM OPT until GC
Hello my pd is Aug 10, 2021. I still have 24 months STEM OPT left. Can I work with my STEM OPT until I get my GC or I have to work for employer with EB3 EAD since it does not say anywhere I have to work for sponsor after I get EB3 EAD? Please let me know if anyone is still working with STEM OPT EAD even after receiving EB3 EAD. Thank you!

I think after you get the Ead from your sponsor, you have to start working within 180days. You may talk to your lawyer for double check

There is no provision, regulation, policy and guideline in regards to that issue. You have received EAD under your EB application but you are using STEM OPT. Which means your EB job is not something that you dreamed of or nothing related your previous education. Hold this thought and don’t listen to anyone from here. But prepare logical explanation if you have an interview in the future. No one here will decide but the interviewer will.
