An EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition requires evidence to support the applicant's request for a waiver. The applicant will need to provide evidence for either the exceptional ability or the advanced degree category. The USCIS prefers independent reference letters, but other documentation can be used to demonstrate national recognition. Having said all that above, my original question was actually about whether the dependent of an EB2-NIW (derivative beneficiary) green card applicant can use the EAD (obtained through pending AOS) for Uber and the likes. I don't remember signing a letter of intent so on EB3 GC EAD, you can't work side jobs even tho you have gotten a 5-year EAD card?

You can technically work in another job as a side hustle. however, it is important to notice that your Main Job (the one applying for GC) it is a full time position. You just need to be carful in case you have an interview they could question how you are working full time and part time with something else. Just something to keep in mind.
