wish me luck!!!
I just fired my attorney because she was very rude and unprofessional to me. she had also given me bad legal advice during my I-130 process and I decided to go with my gut and upload evidence. thank god I did because now I’m approved. wish me luck at the NVC stage. praying everything goes well!!!

corine u got approved after that u have added evidence on ur uscis account ?

if you have your documents ready just send what they require and be honest filling the forms cos you will prove your point to USCIS always at NVC stage. Lawyers are not always needed. Sometimes you can file a form without anybody’s help. just read well about the instructions on USCIS forms as to how to fill a portion of the forms and hey you’re gone. All the best Corine!

@emanuel my attorney had told me that I didn’t need to upload ANY evidence for my I-130 that it would be needed at the interview. but I felt in my gut I needed to upload evidence. I believe that helped me not get an RFE. I uploaded evidence in March and june

@ruth thank you. I just get really bad anxiety because I don’t want to screw anything up. I got this far and am now at the NVC stage. so I’m going to study the papers tonight and tomorrow because I believe I will receive my welcome letter by tuesday

corine: Are you applying inside or outside of the USA?
R
Ruth BeyAug 14, 2022
@Corine am also at NVC stage out USA. if you’re married get your marriage cert ready, if previously divorced get the doc ready, police cert ready, get all docs ready read instructions very well, and do what they want always NOT how you want it to be done. All the best to all of us.

we are going through the same thing with our lawyer as well. I recently found out he only sent in just a few evidence out of the many that we sent him. He was very unprofessional as well when I asked him about this. Telling us we don’t need that much evidence for the i130 and that it’s at the interview where we will have to show all that. we are in the process of hiring a different lawyer for our case because I don’t feel confident that our lawyer presented our case the way we wanted to. I am now thinking of uploading documents to our uscis account. He also only sent in the recent tax return instead of the three most recent years and he was adamant that it’s fine. guys tell me your opinion on this.

corine is it ok if I upload today ,it's sunday

@Corine congratulations 👏🏻🎉 and good on firing your attorney. we had a consultation before filing and we were told the same thing that all evidence will only be needed at the interview. we decided to file ourselves and upload 435 pages of evidence for the i-130 . I hate that it's taking so long (a year) but I'm glad we save ourselves $4000 .
jet blueAug 14, 2022
@tanieka go with your gut , just because they are attorneys doesn't mean they always know what they are talking about. I would upload as much evidence as possible showing the history of your relationship, not just little bits here and there. my husband and I upload over 1p years worth of evidence 435 pages to be exact and I don't care that it's a lot, USCIS request evidence to prove a valid marriage so we uploaded evidence.

I've thought about uploading evidence as well, like our lease, our bank accounts, our car insurance, but I haven't received an RFE for either evidence or Medicals. I also got my medicals, and am considering sending it to them before and RFE. But I'm so scared it'll get lost.
jet blueAug 14, 2022
@Pksvn N I would honestly wait to get an RFE for your medical before you send them, at least then they know they are expecting them and they'll probably give you a reference number.
C
Corine TavarezAug 14, 2022
@tanieka well they are correct that only the most recent tax year is required. that’s all I will be sending in. but unless your case is complex I would recommend doing it yourself. the attorneys are a joke. as soon as I get the notification that my case was sent to dept of state then I’m emailing my attorney and firing her

@emanuel yes you can upload any day of the week

fd diAug 14, 2022
@Pksvn don’t send the medicals if they don’t ask you to send and did not give an address because you only have one and can’t open it. Just keep it for the interview or until they send you a letter about it.
P NAug 14, 2022
ok guys, I'll keep it and wait. But as for evidences, should I upload it?
tanieka gangawareAug 15, 2022
@sky blue I just wish our lawyer sent in all the evidence we gave him. I might upload the rest to our uscis account.
