filing fee is free, maybe they are charging you for representation /paperwork

@F A i know that EAD and AP wasn't free for me becaue my lawyer's paralegal made a mistake so I had to pay fee every time they applied for renewal

@Mrkvica M. sorry about that, I felt same way after taking mine too, was okay 2 days after. Do you know if your lawyer included a cover letter in your package before sending it?

@F A i think my lawyer said that they will include that orange notice letter with medical report

@Mrkvica M. ok, yes. they wrote in the letter to include the copy of the orange notice. I read online it’s not necessary to include a cover letter but it’s advisable to do so if the RFE is asking for more than one thing. so in my case, they are asking for birth certificate and medicals. Will put a note to itemize the document. FYI, I got a copy of my birth certificate today

@F A it makes sense what you're saying. Congrats on getting birth certificate! So, you are all done now? You have medical exam report and birth certificate?

@Mrkvica M. yes, I have both ready now. Let the count down to green card approval begin. Did you notice they put 2 different addresses where we can send our response to? Through regular mail or express/courier. They encouraged express mail in order to complete the case ASAP.

@F A I just read on facebook that someone asked how long does it take uscis to do background check after I-485 interview. I didn't know about this step so maybe that's the reaaon why people wait longer for decision after the interview

@F A that's why i am confused. I saw that post today on facebook and I was shocked. And that person said that he/she is waiting for uscis to do background check AFTER interview 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

@Mrkvica M. you can still travel for a couple of weeks, they usually give sometime from the day they set the interview date to the actual interview. Mine 765 is at Vermont. Don’t care about it since I have my 360 approval
