why it seems my travel document application is closed?
i am on pending green card based on asylum and i don’t understand how i could recieve benefits of travel document by other means? my work permit got approved 30 days ago and i recieved the card. it’s been 13 months since i applied for green card based on asylum. what bothers me is based on my statu, i should be able to obtain the travel document because of the stateless status i am in now. there is no move on my green card status and now this. is there anybody know what would it be? could it be that they did a mistaken upgrade on my travel document?

Most of the time when AP application is closed after EAD approval is because the AP is approved and a combo card is being produced. Wait and see what happens.

Sassy J well if it is true, the problem is i already received my ead maybe 20 days ago. greencard status is still the same, and now it appears i received the benefits of travel document thru other means? i still don’t understand

Rossy Ann i hope this is that. i checked several times my uscis account but so far nothing. i’ve sent a message explaining what happened and my status along with everything, now just on the merge of waiting. we’ll see..

i think you could also check your case status on uscis..once u put in your receipt number for the i131,it will tell you if you have been approved or denied.
it is possible to get an Ead and a different card for i131..
It is an approval i believe.God won't fail you my dear.

@Cenab: oh, well, if you’ve already received EAD with no AP and it’s said you’ve got the benefits from other means that means your green card is then approved. You won’t need an AP to travel as your green card will serve for that purpose unless you will be travelling for more that 6 months. A lot of time, the online status doesn’t change. My I-140 was approved 2 years ago and the online status still says application was received ti this day. Do you have informed delivery? I would monitor both the online status and informed delivery for a notice in the mail. I anticipate to congratulate for your green card.
