Why is Queens field office so slow ?
I've waited 4 months for my interview letter. But nothing happened.

@Stewie Griffin @gabriel g He clearly said he’s just waiting for the interview to be scheduled. @Will John Try calling USCIS and ask to speak with a tier 2 officer, some people say that can help. Also, reach out to your elected officials, both your House rep and senator. I know it’s usually not very effective, but since the case has been waiting for an interview for four months, it’s definitely worth a try.

@PA Bob I once called Tier 1 and tried to request a transfer to Tier 2, but my request was denied. I’ve found that calling USCIS doesn’t really provide any valuable information. The Queens Field Office seems to be much slower than the Manhattan office. I previously tried to contact them via the inquiry email, but they refused to provide any information due to “privacy regulations,” stating that only my attorney could receive such details. As a result, I couldn’t get any useful information from the Queens Field Office. As for contacting a congressmember for help, I’ll consider that option in the future—thank you for the suggestion. I’ve heard of several people who have waited more than 10 months at this office. I don’t understand why it takes them so long to send out interview notices.

@Stewie Griffin The vast majority of them were asked questions related to the I-485 form, but a small number were also asked about their I-589 case.
