Why is it taking so long?
Hi everybody,
It’s been 9 months(Dec 2022) since I applied and my case and is still under review.
They asked for RFE in June 2023 for my husband’s taxes (proof that he filed or exemption why he did not) but I have a joint sponsor who has a great income.
I sent the answer for the RFE and still no update on my case. I was hoping to get the work permit at least but nothing so far.
My lawyer says I just have to wait.
Anyone else had this type of RFE or similar situation?

i submitted RFE on July 19 they updated that they received it but nothing more happened

I have the same situation as you. Applied last year in September, received an RFE for taxes and responded in April. Still no updates and no EAD.

@Giana E Our lawyer sent it to them at the beginning of April. They made an update to the case that they received it on April 18th and that if they needed anything they would reach out.
