Why is I-765 taking so long?
Not been able to work really sucks. Do you guys think having a big gap in employment history is going to make finding a job harder? What should I do while waiting for movements on cases?

rfe is for affidavit of support
VE case settled Apr 24, 2023
This Affidavit of support wastes a whole of time,I have the same case too,I got rfe on it and i responded since January 24th till today no response from them.I have equally requested for expedite and they asked for proof,I have faxed it to them since Wednesday last week.I am waiting to hear from them now.This is too much no work nothing since July I filed my case

it is been 10 months without EAD.. had an RFE for taxes that i answered December and nothing yet! i called twice and now for NBC it is taking 11.5 months.. so, i just have to wait..

me too same! i just wanna work, im 230 days now… im applying for jobs i dont even care, i tried to expedite the agent said i have to have a job offer, so im applying…

You should get a job offer letter and then expedited your I-765, send a letter to USCIS with the job offer. I did that and they send my employment authorization.

@Mary M Most jobs I applied to does not sponsor visa, and I have been rejected very quickly because of it. should I indicate on my resume that I can work for any US employer without restriction? and just assume I can get the I-765 approved very fast?

But you don’t need a visa sponsor, you already have one and are in the process of waiting for the green card @kassia H. USCIS just need the proof that you are losing job opportunities and the possibility to provide and work.
