why are we getting an I-130 RFE over a year after submitting application and months after getting the EAD-travel combo card?

Hi all, IR1 GC Concurrent Filing Submitted Aug 2022; I485 RFE for medical received and responded Feb 2023. EAD and travel card received May 2023. Now just yesterday received RFE for I-130. Me and my USC spouse are very surprised and concerned. My progress tracker now suddenly says 9 months ETA processing time when it was showing ‘your case is taking longer than usual’ even 2 days ago!!! Does anyone have a similar experience? If so what happened to you? Please help #rfe #I-130 #I-765 #I-131 #I-485

The documents for this new RFE for I-130 is not even showing up on the portal. Can anyone suggest why?

Hello, my rfe took 2 days after case status change to show up in my documents section of my uscis account. I replied instantly once I was able to view it in documents and was received and case updated same day. my rfe was because my marriage license original and translation was not legible so I had to re scan a clear copy

@K R S thank you so much for your response. My marriage certificate is from here in America. I wish my rfe is as simple as yours. We are worried to get an I-130 RFE over a year after submission . That doesn’t make sense especially as the progress status changed many times

@niceto M if they send rfe for i130, read the letter carefully to see what they want, it can be your marriage certificates or more evidence of bonifide marriage
