4 days for me 2 weeks from the day the congressman responded to me for uscis to answer his question about my case. = less than a month

i contact the congressman through the request in the website, took him 4 days to response back to me to ask me sign the private act form ( which allowed them to know and access your personal info) . Then he contact USCIS. Took USCIS 2 weeks to respond to my congressman and he contacted me later.

what was USCIS response? what was result??

I've requested congressman's help to expedite, congressman's office responded to me the same day and they've sent a request on my behalf the next day, it's been more than a month no reply from USCIS. Everytime I ask congressman's office for an update, they say USCIS is backlogged, just wait. Like what's the point of an expedite request if I have to wait for 1.5 months just to know if expedite approved or not.

@Y E what was your humanitarian and financial reasons? anything to do with war in russia? by the way was it a k1 visa? how long had u been waiting for processing?

@RL: We submitted our 2nd expedite request one week after Senator’s inquiry to USCIS. It was approved on day 13 from congressional inquiry. I’m not sure if their inquiry help boosting the approval of our 2nd expedite request but USCIS reached out to them the day after aproval to let them know the combo card was approved. They let us know the same day. It will never hurt to keep requesting expedite on your own if they let you put in the request. In my case Senator’s office told me to wait for about a month. If we waited, my spouse would have been jobless now for 9 days. We’re glad we did both personal expedite request on top of congressional inquiry.

@sassy J, you sent a second request by urself but also ur senator had sent an inquiry a week before is that correct? what got approved?

@Day: Yes we did. Because they told us to wait for 30days for a response to the Senator. With the personal requests, it goes faster. So we went ahead and submit a new one while Senator’s one was pending as we were advised by someone here in this forum.
