Which option is faster?
Is there any difference in approval time if I submit my AOS documents one year after my asylum approval versus immediately after the approval? Which option is likly to result in a faster approval?

@Bred John I’d submit right now. With current admin it might take a while to get approval. Especially if rumors of GC pause are true.

submit right now. I waited until after a year and this is 6 months after, no approval yet

no one will tell you. you can’t get approved until 1 year….before they used to approve before 1 year and it was a huge mess, doesn’t look like it’s happening often now

@Bred John You can apply immediately after the asylum grant, but I would wait 2-3 months just to be safe.

@A K , @Oliver Farm , @i l , @PA Joe why I am asking, I already sent after one year. but waiting about 500days after one year a bit unbearable

Honestly, from what I’m reading here, those who submitted right after being granted asylum, got faster approval. Although their application was worked on after a year. they went through biometrics, rfe and Interview faster. My lawyer told me to wait until after I year before applying.

@Oliver Farm same, my lawyer recommend me to wait. Waiting in every step just terrible

I would say wait a little before apply yes you can applied right after your asylum approve but keep in mind for your green card to be approved you have to be present one year and if your case come into review before the year it will be denied and all that money will go to waste where u have to refill
