for your kids who are us citizens you will be allow to go through us passport and green card holders checking line when returning.

Is they are less than 18yrs they have to be accompanied. So you make your choice of which side you want to take. most times the officers will not be worried since you are the only parent accompanying them , you will be allowed on the passport holder side.
