what’s next after RFIE
hi all. My wife recently got an RFIE for her birth certificate which we have since sent and has been acknowledged by USCIS. I did separate I-140 and I-485 filings, my documents are at NBC and I sent my I-485J as well as medicals with my filing.
Does the fact that they sent an RFIE indicate that my application is being reviewed? and if so, what’s next?
EB1C - PD current (October 2023) - cross chargeability under ROW. I-140 approved in January 2024. I-485 filed in March 2024 and RFIE received and responded to in May 2024.

No it doesn't mean that. typically they just send RFIE if some basic document is missing in application from initial review.

@B J From what I understand, first they review and approve the principal and then approve the dependents, let's think positively and perhaps your approval will be seen soon. Although what @Charlie SC says also makes sense if your dependent's file was not complete.

I had the same rfe, I have replied to the rfe 30 days back, still waiting so I'm not sure it means any sort of movement

RFIE is different from RFE. RFE can be more related to a decision soon, but RFIE no.
