my father passed away while I was in lebabon. my mom and daughter are my only living relatives. my dad final arrangements had to wait until I got home a month later. my mom has end stage kidney failure and I'm having to take alot of work off. Lebabon is in the worst financial crisis they've ever seen. I had a senator send the request. it was denied saying that although out situation is serious it doesn't meet the requirements for an expedited visa. so idk but it's rough

It’s confusing, because no matter how bad the situation is they’ll deny it unless it’s a specific reason that they chose it to be enough for them to expedite it! really??? that's awesome are you in the us? there's 2 senators in Michigan that proposed a bill for lebabanese to have temporary protected status it hasn't passed yet but im trying to use it for leverage and im gonna reapply fir the expedited visa bc they said you can reapply. the bill is H.R 2913. if ur in the us you can reach our to ur local senator to help with the process maybe you can get more help than I did
