it’s not valid. you become permanent resident of USA. your H1B is deemed invalid(without prejudice) on the day you become PR (date mentioned on gc)

5-7 buisiness days. do you have a lawyer? sometimes it goes to lawyer and then they send you.

if you have your green card in hand, your H1B is automatically cancelled. if you only are done with approval for I-140, then you still are using H1B until you get your EAD or GC in hand.

thanks. everything came at the same time. My H1 was renewed early October, then EAD came last week and this week my GC was approved. I do have a lawyer. my H1B went to them so I imagine my GC will also go to them and then forwarded to me.

can any one answere pleaseeeeee, if we have EAD,i30,i40 but green card still in process.. (i485) … then we start using EaD ? does H1 get invalid?

zyn k , yes when EAD starts to be used, H1B becomes invalid.

@zyn k your H1B doesn’t get invalid until your AOS (i485) is approved. you may choose to be either on H1B or use EAD. Iam in same situation as you and this is what I have gathered so far. (Iam not a lawyer)

i have one more question,please do reply my i-140 is not approved yet,if i use EAD and i30 while travel does that work or EaD and i30 is not usable untill i140 is approved?
